Why I Became Certified in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
There are moments in life when you realize healing is not just about “thinking differently.” Sometimes, despite years of personal growth, therapy, spiritual work, or self-awareness, certain emotional patterns still linger beneath the surface.
That was my experience.
Over the years, I found myself doing deep inner work — healing emotional wounds, releasing limiting beliefs, and becoming more aligned with who I truly am. But when I began working with Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), something shifted in a profoundly different way.
Patterns that once felt deeply embedded began to dissolve. Emotional triggers softened. Old beliefs lost their grip. My nervous system felt calmer. I experienced more peace, freedom, and emotional resilience in everyday life.
The results were so meaningful that I decided to become certified in EFT so I could bring this powerful healing modality to my Spiritual Coaching clients.
What Is Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)?
EFT, often called “tapping,” is a holistic healing technique that combines elements of psychology, mindfulness, and acupressure.
During an EFT session, we gently tap on specific meridian points on the body — similar to points used in acupuncture — while focusing on emotions, beliefs, memories, or patterns that are creating distress or keeping you stuck.
This process helps calm the nervous system, regulate emotional responses, and rewire the brain’s relationship to painful experiences or limiting beliefs.
Rather than endlessly reliving emotional wounds, EFT allows the body and mind to process and release them in a safe, grounded, and often surprisingly gentle way.
Research has shown EFT can help reduce stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and even physical symptoms connected to unresolved emotional patterns.
The Benefits of EFT
People often come to EFT because they feel emotionally stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or trapped in repeating patterns they cannot seem to break through with mindset work alone.
EFT can help with:
- Anxiety and stress
- Emotional overwhelm
- Childhood wounds
- Fear and self-doubt
- Limiting beliefs
- Relationship patterns
- Grief and loss
- Trauma responses
- Burnout
- Perfectionism
- People-pleasing
- Confidence and self-worth
- Physical symptoms connected to stress or emotional suppression
- Spiritual disconnection
One of the most powerful aspects of EFT is that it works with both the conscious and subconscious mind. Many of our emotional reactions and life patterns are rooted in beliefs and experiences stored beneath conscious awareness. EFT helps gently access and release those deeper layers. There is substantial research that backs up the efficacy of EFT.
How EFT Has Helped People
I have seen EFT create remarkable shifts — both in my own life and in others.
People have used EFT to:
- Release fears that kept them from starting businesses, speaking publicly, or pursuing meaningful opportunities
- Heal emotional pain from difficult relationships or childhood experiences
- Reduce anxiety and panic responses
- Move through grief with greater peace and emotional stability
- Break cycles of self-sabotage and perfectionism
- Feel calmer and more emotionally regulated in daily life
- Improve confidence and self-trust
- Release shame and reconnect with their authentic selves
Sometimes the shifts are immediate and noticeable. Other times they unfold gradually, layer by layer, as the nervous system learns it is finally safe to let go.
What I love most about EFT is that it empowers people. It gives you tools you can use yourself between sessions to support your own healing and emotional well-being.
Healing Is About Freedom
So many people are carrying emotional burdens they were never meant to carry forever.
Old stories.
False beliefs.
Fear.
Shame.
Survival patterns.
Emotional pain that has quietly shaped their lives for years.
Healing does not mean becoming someone else. It means releasing what was never truly you to begin with.
That is why EFT resonates so deeply with the work I already do through Spiritual Coaching. It helps people reconnect with their authentic selves — the part beneath the conditioning, fear, and emotional wounds.
It creates space for more peace, clarity, confidence, joy, and freedom.
